Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
